A Unique Concept in Malaysia

Cheras, 8 August 2016 – The country’s new pharmacy-clinic one-stop destination is open for business. Located at AEON Mall Cheras Selatan, the AEON Wellness with Clinic introduces a unique healthcare concept—it is a pharmacy attached to a clinic.

Positioning itself as a one-stop healthcare destination, AEON Wellness partners with one of the leading primary healthcare providers in Malaysia, Qualitas Medical Group, to provide quality service by highly trained doctors and nurses. The medical personnel in charge are certified to treat general ailments, follow up on chronic illnesses and perform minor surgical procedures. It also offers vaccinations, occupational health services and general medical screenings.

Present at the grand opening event held today was Dato’ Dr Noorul Ameen, Chairman and Managing Director of Qualitas Medical Group. En. Karim Dhala, Executive Director of Qualitas Medical Group joined by other Qualitas Medical Group directors as well as Mr. Poh Ying Loo, Executive Director of AEON CO. (M) BHD. with Mr. Tsunanori Sato, AEON Wellness Assistant General Manager respectively.

"This is a new model for AEON Wellness, something that hasn’t been explored in our part and we are proud to be the game changer," said Mr Poh. He also added, "We are constantly seeking ways to enhance our customers’ quality of health, and having a pharmacy and clinic alongside each other will prove to be an appreciated convenience."

On top of the clinic component, AEON Wellness new model is also a provider in beauty and health lifestyle. It is known for its top-selling tonic essence and collagen products, as well as beauty skin analysis test by qualified beauty advisors. Health Services by the pharmacists and medical professionals in the clinic include Lipid Profile Test, Blood Glucose, Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index and Cardiovascular Risk Assessment.

The Organic Section which stocks organic products ranging from household, personal care, beauty products and health food. Nutritionist is based at the store to provide information and advices about diet related matters, food intake and overall good eating habit.

Standing at 3,000 to 5,000 square feet in size—with the clinic taking up 800 to 1,000 square feet, AEON Wellness with Clinic sits on the ground floor and can be accessed from the parking area. It is opened daily from 10am till 10pm.

In line with the opening of the store, members of the public can walk in for complimentary health checks in the pharmacy and enjoy special promotions on health screening packages in the clinic.
